HB 731

[Oliver] and fifteen Democrat women House members introduced HB 731 on the first day of the 2016 Session. The bill bans assault weapons and high capacity magazines. Georgia needs debate about these weapons which are only used for rapidly killing people. Assault weapons are not necessary for deer hunting.

she is right, they are not good for deer hunting. . .but they are freaking awesome for hog hunting!!!!!!

If this deer could talk, he'd tell you different. :thumb: Of course I don't call them assault weapons anyway...

It's almost like... it doesn't matter whether they're necessary for hunting. Where the **** did everyone get this idea that guns are only for hunting? Because I can't find it in the Bill of Rights.

Because they make crap up to justify their insane positions. It's like when they say care about violence, when it is liberals who are responsible, both in policy and action, for the majority of the violence in this country.

And for the record, I hunt with both AKs and ARs just because those morons tell me they are NOT needed for hunting...

In the Georgia Legislature, Republicans hold 115 of 180 House seats and 36 of 56 seats in the Senate. The current governor is Nathan Deal. Governor Deal is only the second governor of Georgia from the Republican Party since the Reconstruction era.

So if everybody votes along party lines. We have a bill passing in the house and the senate and vetoed by the governor, unless there is some mass shooting at the inopportune moment.

This is why the damage caused by the 17th amendment is so pervasive. Its not about what is best or right, its about party vs party.
