Welcome... This is not totally true. Ammo is very hard to find currently but it is still there for around the same prices. A friend just found some .22 bricks at Wal-Mart for pre-panic prices. People have bought up all the ammo they can find because of the threat of a gun-ban. Ammo is very slowly catching up but it's still hard to find at stores with regular prices. There are lots of folks buying up everything they can find and selling it at highly inflated prices.

Hello to everyone, and thanks for all the warm welcomes. I got around to searching the web for .22s. and you are right! THere isn't any to be found at normal prices. I did find this:

http://www.ammoforsale.com/.22-lr-ammo-for-sale#.22lrammoforsale

I didn't like the looks of the website so I did some research and found this:

http://www.wallsofthecity.net/2011/07/lucky-gunner-hypothesis-confirmed.html

Don't quite know what to make of it other than it looks like they are just selling back and forth to themselves to jack up the price.

On a happier note, I got 300 rounds from a buddy of mine for $20.00. I still think that is 2x what it should be. Looks like it's selling for 3-5x normal prices. It seems silly to me. I don't need much anyway. Even better, my landlord saw me putting my rifle in my trunk last night. He asked where I was headed.... I told him and he said, "You have ammo?" When I said yes, he said he would buy some from me if I could spare it. I said sure and he bought TWO boxes for $20.00. So, my weekend plinking will be free! Everyone have a super weekend and stay safe. I'm out the door!
