Help identifying infantry pin/medal

Hello all! I'm looking for any help and or direction identifying this pin of my grandfathers I do not know if it belongs to his specific infantry and/or if it is a medal of some sort, through all the research I have done I can't find this particular one. It comes from Germany after World War II in the beginning stages of the Korean War. Any help identifying this pin would mean a great deal to me as well as a big help. It's hard to tell, honestly it appears to be an animal of some like a badger, bear or beaver those are the only things I've been able to come up with.
