Help indentifying my saiga barrel thread.

Your last pics appear to show an unthreaded barrel.

Approximately .550" of an inch is the diameter of an unthreaded barrel. Some later Mak 90s have barrels that were never threaded.

I sent my Saiga to a gunsmith for conversion. He came highly recommended and did excellent work. BUT!! He doesn't remember how he threaded my barrel. No way! Way. So here I am.

So I bought a thread gauge and a caliper. But I am not getting the hang of the caliper. Attached are some photos. Any ideas as to what I have or how I should correctly use the caliper are still sincerely appreciated.

If you dont like the threads. One idea is getting a 24mm FSB to cover up that portion of the barrel and then you can use 24x1.5 muzzle breaks or an adapter to use others
