HELP - Information Needed

I am trying to figure out how I can find out more about this American Eagle glass 5 gallon container. I have googled a million things but haven’t been about to find anything exactly like this one. When was it made? Where was it made? Why was it made? Worth anything? Those kind of questions. If you or anyone you might know, might have any information about it I would greatly appreciate it.

Except it is not the vintage 1950's version... the plastic lid instead of the cork lid was common on that jar into the 80's and later. I have given away several from my Mom's restaurant that have all been used for years as "empty your pocket change" collection jars.

Seems my daughter is using her's for bills instead of pocket change...
