Help me design some gun shelves, racks for my storage room.

Hey guys,

I have a room that has a 10" (approx.) wide ledge about chest high on two of the walls. I'd like to put some gun racks on it, but not sure of the design configuration. I would appreciate any ideas. My tallest weapons are some reproduction muskets and my shortest some pistols. I was thinking of a combination of vertical racks and horizontal ones. With maybe the horizontal ones holding a few pistoles.

Attached is a bad pic of the room. You can see the corner of one of the walls and the ledge. That wall is approximately 12' long and L's into the other wall that is 13' long.

I had a concrete block and 2x10 plank entertainment center in college. It was fully adjustable. J/k.

So you have at least 6 feet from the top of the ledge to the ceiling? I'd do vertical all the way across and horizontal above the vertical. You could do it the opposite way but not sure the aesthetics would work as well. Put a vault door on that room.

Yep, probably 5' or 6'. I think it's 10' ceilings. Thanks for the idea!

I just mounted some peg board and threw some hooks into it. Seemed to work out okay.
