**HELP** Shooting 9 mm ammo out of a 40 caliber magazine

If you are asking if you can shoot 9mm bullets in your .40..................? Nope. but I really hope that's not what you're asking.
I had a 9mm round mixed in a box of 40 and accidentally loaded it into my Glock 35 magazine with other .40 rrrounds while at the range.
I started shooting and got to the 3rd or so shot and all of the sudden I pull the trigger and it goes boom with almost no recoil and didn't cycle the next round. It confused the hell out of me until I cleared the casing and saw that it was a 9mm...didn't expect that to happen
Did he really ask that ? I tell you what you do to answer that question for yourself . Take your 40 caliber barrel out of your gun ,turn it right side up on a table and then take a 9 mm bullit straight out of a box and drop it down the barrel!!
You will see the whole bullit will drop straight thru the barrel . There is your answer .
