I met him this weekend, nice guy, and I believe we got him set up.
The best way I found sight in a AR for 50 yard start up is take the gun down and remove the bolt carrier group. Mount the upper in a led sled. Take a 4 inch piece of tape and put on the wall vertically. With a level make a cross on the tape to match up the cross hairs with. Manipulate the led sled so you can see the cross hairs through the barrel. With a set of calipers roughly measure the centerline of the barrel to the center line of the scope. Then make another set of cross hairs the distance between the barrel and scope. Make sure the verticals lines of both sets of cross hairs on the tape are exactly level. This take windage out of the equation. It will get you on paper Everytime at 50. Then work to the middle and increase yardage to 100. I've got down to four or five rounds to get me in the red. It's old school bolt action method but it works.
