My AWESOME husband got me a .40 Shield for my birthday (yay me!). The range we belong to is flooded right now and I haven't been able to put any rounds through it yet so that's a bummer. I've been piddlin' (initial cleaning, breakdown, reassemble, holster break-in, etc) with it just itching to get it to the range. The only issue I'm having with it is that the slide is tight...I can barely rack it. I know, I know..."it's technique not strength" but I can rack our others with no problem and this one just ticks me off that I can hardly rack it. I've watched/tried just about every video out there trying to figure out what my problem is. Besides breaking it in by putting a bunch of rounds through it, is there anything I can do to make it just a tiny bit easier to rack? Thanks!

No, seriously, just work on racking it 100 times a day. Sometimes they're a bear, but they'll smooth out over time. And your muscles will get accustomed to the movement.

Hahaha! Actually I've been so ticked I've been doing hand strengthening exercises I got from a tennis playing friend of mine...figured it couldn't hurt even if it didn't help.
