Help with my 6.5-284 Norma

Looking for a starting load and best powder, the rifle has a 1-8 twist , 24 inch barrel and I'd like to shoot 140gr bullets. Currently shooting a 6.5 CM so all my bullets I have in stock are well over .625 BC.

Pretty overbore. Look into using something slow like h1000 or rl23. Maybe the new imr 7977.

Love me some 6.5-06..owned an old custom mauser from the 60s forever and currently have a Rem 700 in the works with a Shilen barrel. Hope I can finish it this winter.. too many projects

I know a guy with 16# of h1000 that will work well with that cartridge for a reasonable price
