Helpful trading tips from a tradeaholic.

Sigh.. I personally think I'm just sick/tired of it all or people and negotiations have changed I guess..
I don't remember people lying so much just to save $5or even $50..I mean I have literally had people break any code or sense of personal honor to make $50..
Had a guy look at some coins I had fairly priced and then asked the same stupid "Whats ur bottom dollar..blah.blah..yackyack..and on and on..and then he(they)just ALWAYS low ball your bottom dollar..If that's not enough when I decline he starts begging?..and finally starts telling lies about just trying to replace his Grfathers coin collection that was lost in a fire...Finally I relent and short story 3 hrs later I get a phone call from a dealer friend of mine who recognized the coins as mine and says the guy was just in his store trying to sell them to him(for $50 profit)..+
I mean it seems to be lately that people show up at your door at agreed upon price and then claim ive only got(blank)amount of money...and then expect you to discount(when actually they have the rest in another pocket)...
Its just starting to get to the point that I'm questioning peoples moral character anymore..
Haggling/horse trading has been going on for centuries and we all watched our Fathers/GrFathers do it..I just don't remember Grandpa lying so dam much just to save $5 on something?

I mean is that really all a person self worth costs?..to lie(boldly) to save or profit a couple dang dollars?..im not lying to buy/sell a dang thing and I would appreciate it more from people if they would just STOP..and think about the fact that you are giving your soul away at a very cheap price...

Good points. I edited my post to add another that you reminded me.

I have been fortunate enough lately to have some spare coin which has allowed me to to buy/sell/trade for all kinds of new to me guns.
Can we please add this to what should be a new sticky....

CLEAN YOUR DAMN GUN BEFORE YOU TRADE IT.....

I'm not expecting a full detail strip followed by an ultrasonic bath, then lovingly reassembled and lubed by nekid Swedish virgins, but for Christ's sake buy a bore snake, some cleaner, a couple rags and make an attempt..

\rant....
Sorry bro.

In fairness though I told you I had shot them the day before suppressed at a meet and greet and warned you they were filthy and I hadn't had a chance to clean them yet.

I still feel bad about that. I don't believe I have ever seen a gun as dirty as that upper was and can't imagine how long it took to clean it. :becky:
