What it comes down to for me is the cost of practice. I can get a 50 rd box of federal for $9.50 in 9mm, and $16.50 for .45. Shoot a couple hundred rounds it adds up.
Did anyone notice this thread is almost a year old and people are still posting to it. That's amazing.

Or to save your butt when your rifle malfunctions or runs dry.
In this fight, I'll take the 9mm. I'd rather have too much ammo then not enough. I'd also like to be able to fire 18 rounds before reload.
to just FMJ, i'd rather shoot .45 than 9mm.
