Hi-Caliber Gun Store. Anyone else have a bad experience with them ?

Sorry man. Those guys have always been good to me.

Same here. It sucks but mistakes happen.

Always get the name of who you are talking to on the phone! That way you can hold them accountable if something is amiss.

By the way, Sean is very approachable. If you did have an unpleasant experience, let him know, he really does listen and will do what he can to make it right.

I'm lucky to have three decent places to shop near me, Hi-Caliber, BWG, and CGP (Cherokee Gun P0rn) :D

One of two things happened here.

1. A lazy or uneducated employee.

2. They lied to get him there to try and sell him something else. A lame form of bait and switch.

Either is inexcusable and I want to thank the OP for the warning.

I'll only add this: the only thing I have ever, and WILL ever purchase from them is reloading supplies. They stock a good bit of Dillon's goodies, and therefore they are an easy drive from Kennesaw, rather than calling Dillon only to be told that they are backordered until the apocalypse. Their reloading "expert" has recommended the wrong items to me on numerous occasions...thank god I know my gear. Their sales guys aren't the sharpest knives in the drawer. I'll give you that. Decent pistol range, decent gun prices, and great Dillon selection. But service? Ugh.

Exactly, thats where I get all my Dillon products. Same price as direct from Dillon.

I have had things like this happen to me before at different businesses and I'm sure they will again. I always write down the date, time and name of the person that I am speaking with and asked them to place the item on hold. When I get to the business, if things are not as they were described to me, then I ask for the manager and tell them what so and so told me on the phone. 9 times out of 10 the situation will get resolved. Always, always, write down the name of the person that you are speaking with! Then, if things go south, call that person out!

I've never been to high caliber- their range fees are higher then BWG which is right next door, and they have a better range.
On a related note who decided to open two competing business RIGHT NEXT to each other??? It's not like there's a surplus of ranges...pick a under served area and you're golden.

I don't think I would ever buy from them though...their pretty proud of what they have. I like CGP and and Dawson Gun and Pawn...Dawson is cool they do what they pay +10%..or so I'm told -_O
