Hip issues.

Yep, Thank you I will send you a PM if I decide to have it replaced. My Father says I'm still too young for replacements at 52 though. The Army destroyed my body.
My wife is an FNP and has worked extensively in orthopedic surgery. There are guys in their early 30’s having hip, knees and shoulders replaced due to injury. 20-30% of them former military, many of those airborne soldiers. If it hurts, get it checked out. If it’s joint damage, it won’t get better on its own. I’ve had both shoulders repaired as well. Stopgap measure at best. Next is joint replacement on those as well probably within 5 ish years. Army can definitely mess you up.

You are not too young one of my coworkers had his hip replaced at 43. Also, excessive weight on the joints will do a lot of damage causing premature wear.

Yay !! Fun-fun !
It dang sure doesn’t sound or look real fun …… all these kind of replacements/repair/ whatever that has been done - hasnt been very successful or done much besides cause more pain or stress to the area/ joint or whatever was operated on. Unfortunately. But I have always had bad luck with joints or any repair /replacement that has been done. It has been just me in most cases.

I truly wish you well and hope you have success in your repair !! :)

I had mine done 7 years ago at the age of 48. If your in constant pain, yup its time.

My worst part was the recovery and waiting on the stitches to heal. I was walking with a walker the next day. And back to driving in 3 weeks. Because I was consideres obese by there definition they went in from the side. Recovery was quick other than the 14" incision. At the time I did not care because it fix the pain I was having Daily!

I had my left hip replaced back in 2007 mainly due to a bad day in Kuwait back in 1990. I thought it was a lower back issue. Went to a sports medicine Dr in Charlotte who diagnosed it. I was only 43 then. Had my right one replaced January 2024. Doing fine now. Go see an orthopedic surgeon.
