I have the P30L in 40 and I second that comment that it is fantastic. It's my first HK too. It's only 1/2" longer than the P30 and it's balance is outstanding. If it means anything, I traded my Sig emperor fastback carry for it and I wouldn't trade it back for that or the P229 elite that I had with the srt installed. I've been a 1911 guy for years and I can tell you without a doubt this P30L is extremely accurate and has less recoil than the 229 in 40. I will soon find out how it does in 9mm with the conversion barrel I fitted. Here's a little pic of a 7 yard group no support, standing 2 hand about 1 second between shots and I wasn't even trying that hard
. It's an awesome gun imho that I wouldn't trade for love nor money. If you want one and its what YOU want get it. People find a negative with any pistol. Good luck
