Most folks here won’t read this past the title, and it ain’t a short read, but there’s plenty of good information.

I don’t think there’s any question about whether or not Holosun is Chinese, but the author definitively tracks Holosun to being a major supplier of optics for the PLA (People’s Liberation Army) and PAP (People’s Armed Police).

Holosun optics have gotten better and more reliable, with more features, since becoming a player in the American market. American consumers are doing QC for the Chinese, and helping them increase the reliability and features of the optics for the PLA and the PAP.

Since SIG has partnered with Holosun for optics such as the Romeo 5, the Chinese have received an incredible boost in feedback, leading to changes, upgrades, features, etc.

Enjoy.

I try to avoid buying chinese stuff whenever possible. I don't like the idea of buying the ammunition that will one day kill me.

I wonder if we really care about how often this is the case for millions of potential Chinese products.

Some of us do.

While I try to avoid Chinese products whenever possible, I do see there being a difference between buying a plastic pill case from China (although I’ll always take a non-Chinese option when available), and buying something that benefits a major Chinese military contractor.

Most flight schools in the US are full of the sons of wealthy Chinese nationals as students. They go back home and join the Chinese airforce with a first hand knowledge of the US

Sigh.
This is a silly concern at all levels given so many of our congress/ critical leaders are dual citizens or beholden to a foreign nation

I agree with our politicians being in Chinese pockets, but I don’t agree that it’s a silly concern at the consumer level.
