There is a nationwide "certificate" program you can take and get their certificate, but it is not a state license like a plumber or electrician.
You still have to have a business license like any other business.
Won’t the buyer pay for an inspection after making an offer?
Your real estate agent should be able to point out cosmetic issues and I bet even if you have an inspection the buyer will get their own done anyway and odds are he will find something the first one missed.

You make a very good point. I may be overthinking this. I guess I’m trying to make sure I’ve covered all the bases prior to putting it on the market.
