Home invasion in Canada

On top of charging someone for illegal possession of a weapon he wrestled away from and attacker, it seems they have placed a gag order on him.

"He is scheduled to appear in court on August 22nd. Until then, he cannot contact two specific individuals, he cannot even "possess a cellphone or pager," and he cannot leave his house unless he needs to attend "essential activities such as work or medical appointments,"

I wonder why they did not charge him with strong arm robbery, since he stole the handgun from the home intruder...
I'm sure they will add that also

LOL, the prosecutor missed that one, LOL! He'll have to amend charges.

This is a prime example of what is to become of the U.S. Most people will deny that it can ever happen here but we are already well on the way to becoming another Canada. I have no use or compassion for anyone that has beliefs that align with the liberal agenda and ideology.

Ten years ago Chicago and Wilmette had "duty to retreat" ordinances. I remember a news story about a family (12 or 13 people) that jumped out of a window in the second floor of two story flat to escape home invaders. This happened about 20 blocks North of me. There was even some news footage. I remember thinking, "LOL, stupid Yankees."

These kinds of overly zealous big liberal govt stories scare me more than the thought of an intruder surprising me in the middle of the night. At least with the intruder, I can influence the outcome.

The Ian Thompson case really shows how broken the Canadian legal system is.

Three guys trying to fire-bomb him in his house. He gets a secured pistol out, get's his secured ammo out, loads the pistol and confronts the people trying to kill him.

They run away and the police come and arrest the homeowner, based on the testimony of the people who were throwing firebombs at his house.

Without an EXPLICIT, plain-as-day, right to use weapons in self-defense written into Canada's constitution, the only "right" of self-defense is a vague right to effect a "citizen's arrest" with only a reasonable and necessary amount of force. So, in effect, the standard is whatever those in power declare it to be. What the King says is reasonable, that's it. Anything the King doesn't like is unreasonable, and therefore illegal.

The current leadership of Canada are a bunch of limp-wristed girly men and communists. Grown-up children begging for Big Brother to guide them and protect them and share their lives from cradle to grave.

This article says that Canadians actually DO, and ALWAYS DID have a right to use deadly force against criminals, BUT because it's a common-law concept rather than enshrined in a constitutional clause, it's easier for leftists to ignore it and pretend it never existed.

People with fire bombs can be dangerous. It's much safer to arrest law abiding homeowners. Dang man, you just don't get it do you?

Most people don't see the similarities, but Socialism is only a step over from Fascism and/or Communism. Yet, children are taught Conservatives are closer to Fascism. I heard a testimony from an old Bulgarian guy who had escaped from Bulgaria during their communist days. He had been here a while, but was speaking alot in the 90's on how America was inching slowly toward Communism. He could see the signs. Today, there is a an old Austrian lady who lived through the ramp up by Hitler to the Fascism he integrated so cleverly to Germany then Austria. She was saying the same as the Bulgarian man 20 yrs prior. We're closer than ever, and most can't see it, or don't want to believe it. Today, observation of the Liberals, Democrats, and Media fight against Pres Trump makes these claims ever more clear to me.
