Home invasion stories

Closest call I had was a creepy guy trying to open my window. I saw through the blinds that he was working on the window. I went out and asked him what he was doing. Once he saw the rpk he kinda froze. The police later arrested him for prowling or some crap like that. Never had anybody kick in my door thank god.

Gas on Peachtree Industrial? Brother, you must've been running on fumes to stop there! :)
its not that bad. its an industrial area, but if you wanna talk ghetto go i20 west for a few exits from atlantas center. i wont drive that direction (also cause there is absolutely nothing out there that is of value)

Both times I've been messed with I was only 18. I go back and think now, wht would I have done if I had my gun?

The first time a guy tried running me and a buddy off the rode for no apparent reason. He got inches from my friends car. He than pulled a rifle on us. The second time the same guy got out of his vehicle and tried to open my car door! I don't know what his problem was but I still see him everywhere! I think someone who looked like me pissed him off or something.

LOL! Really?

I don't care if I left a trick-or-treat size bag of Skittles sitting in plain sight and someone kicks my door down in a desperate need of a sugar fix. If you invade my home for one Skittle it would never "haunt" me to plant you. I sincerely hope I never have to pull the trigger on anyone but whatever reason they use as an excuse for breaking into my home is obviously justification enough to them to risk their life, and being inside my home is justification enough to me to end it.

There are no two sides to a break in that are both justified. If you break in, you get shot. Period.

OORAH!

Whether you shoot someone to steal their TV set or you shoot someone to prevent them from stealing your TV set, you still killed someone over a TV set. I wouldn't want that on my conscience. I once was forced to present a firearm in order to defuse a situation involving an aggressor with a knife (drunk family member). Thankfully discharge was not required.

I hear what you are saying, and I understand where you are coming from but this is how I view the situation. First off, if they decide to break into my house, and steal a TV set, they it is him/her that decided that his/her life is only worth a TV set, not me. But, it goes a little deeper. To me, when someone comes into my house to steal from me, they are not taking just a TV set, or furniture, they are taking a piece of my life. You see, I don't work because I like it, I trade my time and skill for money so that I may purchase things to make my family more comfortable. If I had my rathers, I would spend all my time with my family. So, since I leave my family to work, so that I may buy things for them, then everything in my house is purchased with a part of my life. Now, I can never get back. Yes, I can work some more and buy a new TV, but then that would be two periods of my life that I will never get back. So for the man that comes to take my property, what he is actually doing is taking a piece of my life and that is something that is very dear to me.

I could tell you my story, but I'm a black ops Force Recon Super Spy S.E.A.L. Operative and we're not allowed to talk about anything in our personal or professional lives.

Home Invasions are very violent in nature. Often you will face multiple heavily armed opponents. Your are going to be behind the proverbial eight ball. These guys are not coming in to just steal your TV set!!!!!! If they only wanted your TV set then they would wait until you left your home. These men come with 110% evil intent. They will terrorize, blunder, rape, and murder your family.

Is there any statistical evidence to support this?
