Homeowners association security guards pulling people over....

when I was between jobs in 1990 I worked for Wackenhut for a few months. I had won a slot to the USPSA nationals and did not want to start a new job and then ask for 2 weeks off!! Firearms training was a joke, they handed out S&W model ? (but my K frame grips fit it), I turned back 2 guns until I got one that I thought the timing was ok. After they handed them out all the people in the class picked them up, pointed and proceeded to go click, click, click. I went immediately to a wall and stood with my back against it. The instructor said "your a shooter aren't you?", never advising the others not to point and go click, click click. I held my tongue about his "instructor" abilities. At the range the following day (trying to remember it was a while ago) one of the "drills" was 6 reload 6. I had brought along a speed loader (for fun) and as the others are going bang...................................................bang..........................bang I had all my 12 shots on target before anyone got off more then 4 rounds. I had also brought my IPSC gear to show them how fast they could die if an experienced shooter was on the other end, that was a fun day. Worked there for about 2 months, at a strip mall where I walked for about 7 hours a night. One night the manager of a Ruby Tuesday asked if I would take drinks away from the customers in the parking lot who had walked out of RT with them. I said "sure", turned and walked out thinking "does he really think I am that stupid to take away a drink from a drunk 22 year old latino"??? It was fun walking the parking lot, the uniforms were the same color as Miami Dade at the time, I would see joints flying out of windows as I walked the lot, etc. Loved coming up a car that had a "couple" in it going at it, would observe for a short time:). The regular guards were not allowed to carry spare ammo, just the 158 grain solid lead widow makers in the gun. I was granted permission to carry 2 dump pouches due to my experience. I did but they never saw the Taurus .38 on my ankle as real back up, that would not have been allowed and I could have been fired (like I really would care). I will say walking around armed in South Miami kept you on your toes, it was not the safest place.

I stayed for about 2 months until they wanted to move me to a high price neighborhood in Miami beach where the other guard was known to practice his "fast draw" in the office. Advising my boss that if I was in that guys presence and he did that I would take the gun away from him and shove it up his ass. So instead I quit as the nationals was only a week away. That is where I learned that security guards, for the most part, are a JOKE!!

I remember an episode of Adam-12, a security guard shot someone because they cut in line at checkout. As they were helping the wounded customer he said "I don't know how bad I am hurt but I know I own this place (supermarket) now"!

Most HOAs are run by freaking idiots.

I think these "mall cops" should (and probably will) be arrested for
-Impersonating an officer
-Unlawful detention
-Harassment

and maybe some other stuff.

I will NEVER EVER belong to an HOA! Even if it starts out OK, it always seems to get hijacked by busybody idiots who ruin everything for normal people.

**** every HOA (almost as much as **** Obama!)
