I fish there all the time. Only plastic lures allowed. They release water in the evenings, so its usless to fish after that but if you go before then, its fantastic. Lots of spots for bank fishing but kayaking is the way to go. On a spinning reel, fish trout bait or rooster tail to catch trout all day. 8 is the bag limit though. I recently picked up fly fishing and have only caught fish by stripping in a dark green w/ brown wooly booger. I hear that fishing nymphs is the way to go but havent tried yet. I typically fish between the dam and settles bridge.

We used to use float tubes and go from the dam down the ga 20. Used Little Cleo silver 1/8 oz spoons. We would tear them up. I haven't gone this year due to moving but the fishing was always good. We would usually go Sat or Sun mornings. They don't usually generate then.
