Hornady 45 cal. XTP 250 gr - NEED L.D>

Big and very slow!
it can be used but such weights are normally for the 45 cal revolvers.
John Browning designed the 1911 for the 200 grain projectile, the military speced out the 250 grain, they finally decided that 230 was about as heavy as they cared to go with.
course this was way long ago and the powders/projectiles weren't near the quality/ performance of todays.
loading data will depend on what powder that you are going to use.

Just checked and the only jacketed stuff I have is 260gn, the wrong way. I have some cast 200gn swc and xtreme 200gn rn. I may have some brass, just traded for a bunch, let me let it settle out and see what I end up with.
