How bout this ghetto fabulous piece?

If it's like my old Savage that I cut down, the issue is the hump is where the stock bolt comes in. After years of looking at that ugly hump, I finally took it down to daddy's, who cut the bolt and welded it back together. It is an incredibly long bolt, 6-8" at least. Needs to be about 4" to sand it down to a proper pistol grip. My OAL is just under 28".

In for pics of the rest of that one. I agree that your grip needed a little work with the wood rasp and sandpaper.
When I cut down my Smith 1000P into the ghetto fabulous custom it is today it took me several days of rasping sanding and nearly giving up more than once to get it to a point where I liked the results. One problem I had was that there was factory checkering close to where I cut it. At first I tried to work around it but I soon boogered up the checkering with the rasp. So then I had to rasp/sand the checkering completely off. That took a while. I like the semi finished product. ( I still need to stain or clear coat the grip. But it looks almost exactly like what I had in mind when I started. In the late 70s/early 80s there weren't very many companies making tactical shotgun parts. So you basically had to make your own tactical pump gun. I really dig how this one has the vent rib barrel. The Choate 2 round extension and barrel clamp really finish it off.
If I won the 410 I think I would rather put a stock back on it if I could find one and let my wife and daughter shoot it. But I'm not opposed to going at it with some engine paint and the wood rasp. Maybe some grip tape on the front and rear. Kini preserve it's street cred and ghetto glory.

I'm currently the high bidder on this crime scene custom Savage/Springfield model 67 in 410. The bid is at $48.00 with about 12 days to go on Gunbroker. Yes I know, I love ugly ghetto guns. The good part is if I don't win the auction my feelings ain't hurt a bit. Plus I'd probably never find another stock for it.
You should be able to triple your money on here.

Okay I say we hijack this thread and turn it into the official Ghetto Gun Porn thread. So halla at ya boy and post em up here. Let's see them Tec 9s and Hi Points. Post up them Davis 32 autos and Lorcin 380s with electric tape around the grips.

You could probably get a stock for it here.
Good looking out, bro. Seriously I already looked at Numrich and even Boyds which is kinda over priced. But the last Stevens I had back in 13 was like an 820 or something like that . It had a real funny looking stock angle like an Ithaca 37. Boyds was THE only place to get a stock. The original was fake wood grain Bakelite and cracked alp to he'll. I got it from another member for $100.00. But that damn plain walnut stock cost me almost $70.00 with shipping. And Bpyds emails me to this day.
