You can find insurance through the exchange (healthcare.gov) or you can go directly to individual companies. The exchange has plans ranging from absolute garbage (what I can afford) to really good ones. The cost all depends on your individual monetary situation. The subsidy (your own tax dollars) the govt gives to knock down the over inflated price is dependent on your reported income. If you turn in more on your tax return, they tack on the subsidy and take back that which you already paid once (taxes) so you end up paying the inflated retail price.

No, but if you or your wife have any pre-existing conditions premiums are gonna be high especially if you have something that's gonna cost em' a lot. As far as I know Kaiser Permanente is the ONLY insurance in obamacare that's available in Ga. and it SUCKS.
i wish that was an option for her.....she needs the insurance
