That thing looks like it's in velvet. That was taken yesterday?View attachment 1522929 I spotted this guy yesterday and want him bad next year. I'm going to start a supplemental food and nutrition program for him so he's still healthy next year. All of that will disappear completely 10 days before the bow season opens.
I'm thinking about setting up an artificial scrape to keep him coming to the area, but have never used them seriously before and have doubts about their real effect.
What have been your experiences with them?
Tell me where he is and I will help you.lolView attachment 1522929 I spotted this guy yesterday and want him bad next year. Yes, yes he is.Good gosh thats a monster buck!
How do you make them? What do you put in them?made a bunch of em and yes they do work.
I'm in the Norther zone and I can't bait. Unless it's a food plot, which I cannot do on this property, every sign of supplemental feeding has to be gone no less than ten days before I hunt the area. Why will it all disappear 10 days before season starts?
GOOD TO KNOW! Thank you.To get him to eat pellets you will have to mix with corn it will take a while it took us 3 years to get them to 100% pellets now they eat 4 tons a month in five troughs here is a example of a coupleView attachment 1523075View attachment 1523076View attachment 1523077
True, but it takes a lot out of a deer to grow a rack that big and I'm hoping it will be even bigger next year with supplemental feeding and minerals. As big as he is I suspect this is his prime year and next year he may start declining.Looks like the one he has a pic of is not starving at all.
Not in velvet. Just a really bad pic. That thing looks like it's in velvet. That was taken yesterday?
Yes, they will cost artificial scrapes.
