How in the hell do you guys get the “smilies”?

According to my training and my ammo count at home, I have now put over 5,000 rounds through my issues Glock 22, but there is no smiley on the barrel! WTH?? Y’all puttin’ 50,000 rounds through the damned things?!?! Lol

Every Glock I've had has started showing a smiley somewhere between 500 and 1000 rounds

This is what I was thinking. I was just cleaning it it last night and it hit me that I’ve seen many on here for sale or what ever with that mark.

took about 3k light reloads 1k target to get a slight smiley on a gen3 19. It gets clp and I wipe the excess off the outside.
Fo-Sail LNIB G19 with slight smiley, less than 100 rds down range, always taken care of and cleaned after range trips.....

They don't clean or lube them. I have a 17 with well over 5k down the barrel and it is barely showing a smiley.
