How is Dahlonega considered 'Metro Atlanta'???

Helpful Hints:

If you can see mountains or Tennessee you are not in south Ga.
If you are North of I20, you are not in South Ga.
If you can spit into Alabama, you are not in East Ga.
If you can see the lights of Sanford Stadium you are in North East GA, not Metro ATL.
If you are currently being bitten by more than 3 gnats, you are in some portion of South Ga.
If you're voting for Stacy Abrams this fall, please LEAVE Ga.

I know the overall sense of geography is limited here on ODT, but how the heck is Dahlonega even *close* to being considered 'Metro Atlanta'? I try to sort by the location tags, and this keeps coming up. An hour outside of the perimeter is metro Atlanta? By that measure so is Macon.....
Limited? It's nonexistent, save just a few members. The first time I saw Alpharetta listed as NW GA, I knew that I'd be looking through most every ad on here to find what I wanted. Georgia's tourism map would work a lot mo better.
