How is rarity defined?

While that may be the most popular definition, was looking for something a little more intriguing. Lol
Rare. Hmm. Likely not often seen or offered on the market. That also applies to "thin market" items. Items can be rare because they are NOT offered for sale or available because they are NOT desirable.
Here on the ODT rare means that there hasn't been more than two others listed for sale within the past week.
Anything than you don't or haven't already owned is designated a Unicorn as soon as you purchase.

Glocks are the only weapons that are allowed to be considered "rare" on the ODT.
I could take a dump in a box and call it rare . Just because something is rare don't make it good.
I saw a friggin yugo with an rpk receiver marked as rare . Um no ? They just sold more of the crappy standard receiver models so they cut it down to 1 type instead of 2 .
