How is the milsurp market these days?

The MG 34 and 42 were designed to be quick deploying and mobile, whereas we didn't have anything substantially similar.

The Browning's problem was it didn't have a quick change barrel like the German mg's.
 
I'm looking at a Rock Island 1903, 399k serial with a 1944 barrel. Looks in good shape, I didn't have my barrel gauge with me do don't know. Didn't see any import marks. Any idea what a fair price would be? I'm a Garand guy, not so much a 1903 expert.

I also saw a what looked be mostly correct Beretta M1 Garand for 900 if anyone is interested
