How is the milsurp market these days?

I haven't found anything cheap that's also reliable for the lower pressure trapdoor 45-70. After trying several i only use ammo from Powder River and you can send your brass back to get a price break. You can try a few rounds out of my stash if you like

I'm taking a day off work either Wed or Thu to do a range trip with my boys during Spring break the first week of April. Gonna try to be flexible as the weather gets closer. The other day I'm taking them to an automobile assembly plant. Then camping in the Okeefenokee over the weekend.
But as you guys know, when I have my boys I'm not as sociable as usual so as no one gets shot...
Just kidding, they are pretty good with the safety thing. Maybe some lessons have finally set in.

US Army model 1873 carbine.
So, 25-yard function check, standing, no rest. 405 gr 45-70, cast lead bullets. If i have my sy sight picture where the front blade even with the bottom of the “v” notch, she’s dead on. I predict that with the correct sight picture she’s zeroed at 100 yards. Took 15 shots off the shoulder, got 13 in the bull, 2 flyers were all my fault
She shoots incredibly well, no issues found. Ejects great. Heck, that smoky cloud even smells good...lol.
