Crappy Springfield Rack Grades are $700 (I would not mail order for the trash I saw there. Winchester Rack Grades were $850 IIRC, IHC Rack Grades were $1,050
Springfield Field Grades are $800
SpringfieldService Grades are $900

Just a hunch but with the quality currently available if you want one GET IT NOW. I've never seen rifles this bad sold. Still a few jewels to be found with original barrels, low wear, Lockbar sights and single slot gas plugs but many with CMP replacement stocks.
