How many kWh do you use in the summer?

Amicalola Electric.

05/23/24 to 6/24/24 1100 KWH 146.00

Upstairs A/C @ 72* Ceiling fans in 4 rooms 24/7. 1600 sqft.
Basement A/C - not really needed (but available on a separate unit) as it stays about 73* - no fans. 1600 sqft.

2400 sq ft upstairs and 2500 downstairs in Sandy Springs, $400 for last months bill, wife keeps the house 68 degrees in the summer and 64 in winter. Basement also powered off the downstairs unit, both units are 10 years old.

Ga has the lowest electricity rates in the nation. Thank God for those nuke plants.....

My parents have GA Power and they live less than 20 minutes down the street from me. Their last bill was over $600 and their house is only 1600sqft. I have 2500sqft and my bill through Walton EMC this month was about $300.

My old house was 1400sq ft. We had up graded the HVAC to a 90 something percent unit and insulation in the attic. Our bills were never over $100 a month. My wife keeps me in the dark on our current home

1050 kwh
$206

OP, you have an issue, dude. No way it should be that high. Anyone near you tapping into your power? An out building somewhere that somebody has a drop cord plugged in or something? $600 a month is CRAZY.

How many appliances are you running?? Surely thats not due mostly to your AC. I cool 3k sq ft and Ive never had a power bill over $125 with snapping shoals emc. Keep it at 78 during the day and 76 at night with a 33 year old Lennox. And I supplement one room with a window unit.
