Nope, most of my high school commuting was via motorcyle.
When I finally got a car, it was cassettes. I'm still wet behind the ears.

Plus my new Pioneer Supertuner, AD-50 under dash 5 band graphic equalizer, and Pioneer Coaxial speakers in the back window with separate tweeters on the dash! Bought it all from Service Merchandise in Columbus in 1979! Wore out some 8 track tapes in that setup! Those were the days!

The best that money could buy back then! Had mine in my '75 Gran Torino, blue with white vinyl top and solid white interior!
