And The roadrailers didn’t need flatcars and cranes and an empty chassis on each end of the trip
Seemed very efficient when I was working there
Somehow it was a lot slower, occasionally a trailer would miss the cutoff for the train and it would get hauled on the highway , one driver would head out from each terminal and meet in the middle and swap trailers and come back and arrive before the train did
