I think you overcharged me for the tin foil. Wal-mart had it for 2.79 a roll. I think the 250.00 you charged me may have been a bit much.

An item is only worth what people are willing to pay, and a seller has the right to sell an item for what it's worth. Money is frequently made when prices in different markets differ. If Walmart is selling an item for X, but it's in short supply and selling for Y locally, people are going to buy at X and resell for Y.

As for the US government buying up all of the ammo, according to the NRA, the US produces 10-12 billion rds per year, and billions more are imported. The government requests aren't helping matters, but it doesn't completely account for the current shortage -- plus, I think they're only bid requests. There's no telling how much is actually being bought by the government right now. I seem to recall recently an ammo manufacturer stating that only something like 5% of their production goes to the government.

The major contributor is all of the people that suddenly decided they need a comfortable stock of ammo (rightly so)... something the rest of us took care of a while ago.

Lord help this country of, well this country that used to be ours.

Seems like we've lost our sense of self reliance and independence? Just wring our hands when walmart's sold out of .22's.

Damned, if I ain't got more respect for those so called illegal hoarding, reselling, tax dodging evil doers than a I do for folks that day after day continue to sit and complain about them.

Those evil doers ain't sitting on their ass, they're beating the bush to find what ya'll want.
:pop2:

I have more respect for the people that complain about ammo flippers than the people that complain about the people that complain about ammo flippers... Just saying.

Talked with a guy that saw 555 packs at a gun show last weekend for $90 each. I will swap over to 17HMR before I pay that much for .22 ammo.
