How much trouble could it be to mail something that fits in a flat rate box?

I've had wine shipped to the house...just have to sign for it.

Maybe it's different from a licensed vendor - I've had the same. However alcohol is on their restricted items list.

Macon will supply you with tape for the flat rate or priority mail boxes, usually.

I agree - I just feel cheated the guy wouldn't give me tape - I'm a nice enough guy!

Also - lessons learned you can't ship alcohol- but no questions asked if you ship a "snow globe"

Don't ever try to ship a long gun with them (even though it's legal to do)

That's about an hour of my life that I'll never get back.

Never been questioned about long guns in Macon's PO. I ship and receive all the time.

I did that once about 10 years ago. Went to a mailbox store place and the counter guy freaked out - then went to UPS and was told I had to do overnight delivery and was going to be around $100. When I said no- the UPS guy suggested I just don't tell him what's in the box and just do normal delivery for $20 and insure it just in case. Lots of "you can't" vs. "you shouldn't"

You limit your customer base to the neckbeards in your AO only when you are too lazy or stupid to put an item in a flat rate box (which the PO will GIVE your cheap ass) and tape it up (with their damned tape!) and mail it. WTF? If your **** will fit, it should ship. Illiterates are excused from this rant. All others, flame away!

The flat rate box is your friend. It is a valuable tool like any other. It gets there in 2 days. Don't be afraid to mail it. Don't be a Richard Head.
