How is the best way to remove paint from a gloss finished wooden stock ?
Looking for a safe and effective way to remove what appears to be rattle can over a gloss finished stock.
Is it possible to remove the Krylon without damaging the previous gloss finish?

This one is a rather unique Browning Citori Special Sporting with what appears to be factory Browning Blue paint that was later painted over. The paint is chipping off in some spots revealing blue painted stock underneath.
The Book of Guns shows the factory blue was an option in 1993 and 1994 and this one is from 1994.
This one has factory adjustable comb and there appears to be blue on the underside of the comb.

I will test the Citrus Stripper in a small area.
I will also try some 0000 steel wool or fine grit sandpaper in a small area as well.
Would like to keep the original paint if possible.
