Hunter missing/lost in phinizy swamp WMA

He was last heard from yesterday around 10 am. Lets hope and pray this place does not claim another life like it has in years past.

I work almost right across the street from it, big search underway.

That's definitely big enough to get lost in, especially if he gets turned around a couple of times.
How cold did it get there last night?

Do you carry stuff to build a fire when you go off in the woods? We had a guy lost on 324 acres one time.

Not very cold, but the muck and and sink holes are scary to think about....not to mention its ate up with gators

It's amazing how easy it is to do circles thinking you are going strait. I've been temporarily lost on less than 100 acres.

I keep a lighter in my pouch....but i dont hunt the swamp..or even wma's for that matter...but i do know a guy that arrowed a good 10 pt. In there a few years ago and he watched hit the water and try to swim across and a gator grabbed it and took it.
