So I’m moving in a few weeks up to Dawsonville ga. Was curious if anyone on here has ever hunted the Dawson forest area? Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated

Well I was looking for deer hunting info but now I think I might just go check this place out instead haha

Lot of people show up for the deer hunts.Secret is to walk in far and stay all day.There are some nice bucks up there
There are several WMAs in an hours drive of there with beautiful scenery. It’s enjoyable hunting north GA even if you aren’t seeing game.
As biker said there are some nice deer there, lots of horse riders too! There is more to Dawson Forest WMA than the Lockheed tract you might want to check out the Wildcat tract too.
