Is their a law/ statute that determines close to the property line you're allowed to put up a tree stand?
I hunt private property that borders timber co. Leased property.
Our neighbors on the timber land have a stand 30-50 feet from the line.
We're in Heard Co. GA if that helps.
My buddy (the private landowner) thought there might be a minimum distance requirement.
The other guys stand is facing away into their property.
Thanks ODT in advance.

Interesting question subscribed. I would tend to agree that anywhere on their land as long as they dont shoot onto your land. However common sense and common courtesy might say move in a bit unless they are sitting on the egde of clear cut .

Several timber companies have set distances from my understanding!
And usually the county will have ordinances that cover stuff like that!

They can put their stand right on the line, and as long as it's on their property, there is nothing you can do about it.

There are no easements in "realville," and frankly there shouldn't be. That's a government scam where they steal your property. Go talk to them if you don't like it.
