So one of the guys I go to church with just posted this picture on Facebook, it popped up on his timeline from several years ago. He went to help with the clean up after hurricane Katrina. This was what he walked up on where a house used to be....

I refinished a Magnum Research Desert Eagle for a Doc that I knew. This thing was solid locked up from sitting in salt water/mud for 2 months after Katrina destroyed his house. Soaked it in Kroil for a couple of days and had to beat it apart with a mallet.

Turned out nice when all said and done. About 15 hours total hands on work. I felt bad about all he lost, so I did it for free.

I had a friend who lost his collection to the rust from the surge. He had his 9422 refinished. His dad had given it to him and it was perfect before Katrina. My friends down there lost everything. They are still trying to recover.

Dang, I know if I was there when they asked us to leave I pack my truck full of all my guns.

They are like family to me.
