I am convinced that food plots are far better than feeders

I planted winter rye grass last year , held ground well which was great. I was unsure if deer feed on it much . I understand rye grain is great,
Yes they will feed on rye grass really well I once planted half of my plot in winter wheat and half in rye grass. The wheat looked great but they would walk through it to get to the rye grass so that’s what I use and works for me plus it’s very reasonable
 
I think a little of it all helps.we really seen a difference when we started planting summer plots,my opinion you draw them in summer and they find they have no reason to leave.im not talking about 1/4 acre iron clay peas plant as much as you can.
 
I plan on planting this Spring.
Might try crab trees, I have plenty of space. I do need to gather a lot of “trash” in areas that were clear cut and replanted. I’m trying to keep 5-6 acres open.
