It does come with the platform for the rear adj. sights. It reads that there is no lining up the front sight. It reads just put the dot where you want it and shoot. You don't have to line the front sight up with the dot. That would make for very quick target acquisition. I do a lot of plate shooting and trying to realign sights up after a shot from a 1911 isn't easy to do quickly. I am getting faster but the price of 45 ammo is not cheap so frequent routine practice has to be limited. The 9mm would allow me to get more practice in. I just think being able to rip down the line very quick would make shooting on that range would be fun. I like the look of the gun. It's aggressive looking and doesn't just look like a chunk of plastic with the out line of a gun. There is nothing wrong with a little flare on a gun and it also serves a purpose. Quicker slide movement being one of the benefits. I am not sure the barrel is ported or not so the star wars blaster is a bit dramatic. It really boils down to how it feels in the hands. If it feels good then that's half the battle of finding a handgun. Looks are nice but feel comes first. If it feels like a brick then it's a no go. Iv'e really tried to give Glock a fair shot but it just doesn't feel good in my hands. I guess I'm just use to the slim grips on a 1911 and it just feels so different it's hard for me to go with it.

If you have never shot a pistol with a mini reflex sight it is hard to understand why you would want a rear sight. I don't know about everyone else but it's absolutely a dealbreaker for me. I just don't understand why they wouldn't at least give you the space to put one if you want to, like all the other manufacturers do. I don't like this gun but I wouldn't mind having a ppg milled for an rmr

Some of us are able to line the sights up very quickly in between shots with a .45 1911. Technique and practice........

No. M&P c.o.r.e., FNX tactical, sig and Glock MOS guns can still have a rear sight behind the optic. I like having this option because with suppressor height sights you can line them up to help you find the red dot on the optic. If you've never used one of these sights on a pistol it is a lot different than the larger ones on rifles. It can be tough to aquire the dot sometimes when moving and in different positions.

The statement about acquiring the dot is absolutely true. It takes quite a bit of practice to put that dot on the first target as fast as the irons. Even then, muzzle flip makes the dot come up missing for a moment. Then you have to reaquire the dot and put it on the next target. The solution to that problem was to put a compensator on it. Now the dot never comes up missing and the gun stays level and very fast all the time.

An empty gun and a post it on the wall helps, keep your eyes closed and lift the gun to the post it. After awhile I guess it's muscle memory that takes over and you can shoot the RMR as fast as the irons to that first shot, after that the RMR is faster for sure. Just my opinion ....

I disagree, I have a set of Trijicon sights on a Glock 34 Gen 4 MOS behind the Trijicon RMR 07, you say you can't?
They work perfectly they're right at the bottom of the window.
