I am really trying hard not to go out and buy this.

To each his own. When I put the AR15 beside my 1979 700 BDL the AR15 looks like an alien gun. I am sure the history lesson is not why most people buy one. They would just buy another gun. I had a whole selection of guns before I bought my first AR15 and I bought it because it was unlike anything I currently had. I have to like the way the gun looks or I would have 19 Glocks but I don't have any because it doesn't appeal to me. When I add a gun to my collection it's based on several factors and looks is one of them but not at the expense of function. I think other people kind of have the same principles when buying. They look at a rack of guns and try the ones that appeal to them aesthetically first and then try it on for size. I am pretty sure most people don't go in, pick out the ugliest one they see and buy it. The 1911 has a longer lineage than the AR15 but not all people have one. It's either they don't like it or they do. Some have a Glock over the 1911 and that I just do not understand. Both are very reliable, both have proved themselves in service the 1911 for over 100 years. However not everyone has a 1911. Now this is just my take on the subject not everyone agrees with me. The moral of the story is I don't have any guns that don't appeal to me aesthetically. The same could be said for cars, skateboards, bikes, motorcycles and so on and so on. However there are some of those that go out and buy one of those Cube's. It's a brick on wheels.

One mans junk is another mans treasure. Everyone has their own opinion and to the people that say ugly I respect that but I won't call them an idiot for owning something I don't like. I take that back I might have called someone an idiot for owning a Glock over and 1911. LOL J/K This gun I like the way it looks and also the RMR set up is a huge draw for me. It already set up for one or sights.
