I broke my Glock 43

I was taking my 43 apart to clean it and realized it's broken. Actually what is broken is in the trigger housing. The piece of plastic that the spring goes on is broken. One end is like a barrel and it slides in the housing the other end goes into the clip that the trigger bar hooks to. The tip that hooks into the clip is missing. I have a new trigger housing that will be here in a few days. I don't know when it broke but my gun was running 100%. Just wondering if anyone else has ever had the same? I have googled and it doesn't seem common.

Ok I just realized I have broken a steel j frame and a glock this year alone.

Was it shooting ok ? Did you only find it while cleaning ?

Yes I returned from the range and was cleaning my guns. TWhen I went to reassemble I noticed the piece missing. The gun had shot 100% at the range.

The part was less than $20 shipped. Smyrna is several hours away and I would have to take a day off work. It never crossed my mind to contact them but I guess I should have.

I installed the new part and shot 160 rounds this morning and it shot 100%.
