Is there a simple way to fix this without having to cut open the hardened caulk and discovering the inevitable disaster that is the hidden plumbing?
The long story short is that I twisted the spigot open until it broke because water wasn't coming out. I had forgotten that it ALREADY WAS open because I had shut it off from inside to drain all the water out. My dummy self just kept twisting counter clockwise until it snapped. The screw holding the knob on is what finally gave. Here's a terrible pic.
