I feel bad for those just into 'modern' arms.

I do think the market is becoming more tactical. I have a BNIB Winchester SX3 12 gauge auto, beautiful gun, that I tried to sell on consignment. I didn't overprice it, just wanted to sell it and buy a different shotgun. Had NO bites in 9 months. I just picked it up from the shop, and guess it'll be my new waterfowl gun.
 
FWIW, I like pretty much all kinds of guns. That being said, milsurps are my favorite. They're like classic cars - each has a little different story and no two are exactly the same.
 
I'm ready to start trading into some milsurps, as some common ones begin to come back down to realistic prices. I regret not splitting crates of AK's, SKS and Garands in the early 2000s when they were still more than reasonably priced.
