I am a little late getting this posted; shorty after getting my first deer, life got a little hectic. As it is turning out, that day is/was my last day hunting this season. I’ve taken up hunting later in life (I’m in my late 50s) and this is my forth season.
Shot this 6 point on Saturday morning (11/10) just before 07:00; weighed in at 120 lbs.
I did give my hunting buddies a good laugh. After being shot, the deer jumped and ran a bit, just inside the tree line and laid down. After waiting, we went over to retrieve him and when we got there, I told them, I don't think this is my buck. They looked at me funny and asked why. I told them the rack looked at lot wider/bigger though scope.
