We have USAA. All the accidents that my wife has had has been with people insured with USAA. Everything was cover and quickly so we switched. Rates have gone up but we know they will cover. Been like 10 years now.

I think they're all that way anymoreYou better pray you dont need to make a claim they were a total pain in the ass getting paid & reimbursed for rentals. It was a fight the whole time and i still dont feel like i came out in the good
By switching from USAA to Geico. USAA kept increasing my policy even though I have 0 accidents or tickets for the last 30 years. I'm 51 and my 6 month premium went from 1000 to under 500 every 6 months.
Hmm. I may need to look into that. This is why I use a broker. They shop around for me every year and send me the results.
The previous payment was the "This guy has been with us a while and won't shop around" rate. I believe it to be "a thing". If you've been with a company for a while they creep up the rate. New clients get a lower rate to set the hook.Get this I went back to USAA just for shyts and giggles to see what they'd quote me for a new policy. My old policy with the same coverage was 160ish a month. The new quote for new insurance 80 dollars a month with the exact same coverage I had.

Everyone I know who has or had it said it sucked. Have a buddy that worked for them in Macon, he said that they sucked. I had the in 83 and it suckedUSAA has been ****ing me for 12 years on premiums. How is Geico any different?
I dropped USAA in 2018 as my home coverage climbed yearly in about $200+ increments. I switched to Auto-Owners (A-O) and enjoyed slow climbing rates until 2023 when the home and the auto coverage jumped a couple hundred. A-O rewrote how the home policy worked and changed the duration of roof protection (20 years max). I looked at other companies and realized I had the best deal with A-O. If you choose semi-annual payments, they give about a 12% discount which is helpful. From what I’ve read, USAA and Auto Owners are tops in customer service, claims handling, etc. I know I pay more for USAA and I’m ok with that. The times I’ve had to make a claim, including a house fire, USAA was right there, no questions asked and completed everything to my complete satisfaction. They stayed with me through the whole process. That’s why I’m willing to pay more.
