I know nothing

9mm and 556 dies are difficult to come by right now. 9mm an 556 caliber conversion kits for the dillon 750 are sold out too. Primers are unobtainable unless you're willing to pay ludicrous prices. That said, unless you have thousands of dollars kicking around you aren't going to get a full setup in one go anyways. You may as well start getting what you can when you can. Go ahead and get your dillon 750 or 1050 in a caliber that's on stock. Then start getting all the stuff you need. Scales, calipers, case guages, tumblers, media separators, bullets, powder, load data books, headspace gauges, check weights , and probably a half dozen other nicknames i have forgotten. Most of what you will need is readily available. So start collecting now, and the n get the last pieces of the puzzle as they become available

now is not the time to start reloading. there is no primers to be had. powder, bullets, brass are also in short supply. when you find any the price is to high. it is selling on at a "fools" price. you are to late to the party. set tight and this will pass, i hope.

I was thinking about getting into reloading Like i said I know nothing or know anyone personally that does Hope y'all would answer a few questions Can the supplies be had do you know of a good place to go and buy the whole set up and supplies for 9MM and 5.56 ammo
Hi, I have a complete set up for sale, hornady lnl ap, 9mm, 10mm dies shell plates etc, primers (2000), powder and 1000 bullets, also 10mm supplies, 45 acp and tons of brass, wet tumbler, dyer. If you are interested in getting everything all at once, pm me to discuss.

With all due respect to my fellow commentators, the first thing you should do is buy any one of several good reloading manuals. I know we live and die on the interwebs, but a good manual that you can hold in your hand can't be beat.

Then I would go through and make a list of must have equipment. Trust me, if you got the money, there is always one more piece of equipment to buy.

Then I would start flogging Fleabay and this site. I'm not a fan of Fleabay but at least as far as reloading equip. there are some deals to be had compared to new. The fact is that with most brand name stuff, a 50 year old piece of equipment is as good as a new one, maybe better.

Then there is the issue several others have mentioned - right now the supplies are limited. So I after I bought that manual, I would start assembling my outfit, picking and choosing as you go along.

I'm in the infancy stages of getting into reloading myself. My approach given the current state of components is that I acquired a lee press from my father-in-law...didn't have the size dies I needed. I have been collected my brass at the range (.40; .223; 9mm) and bringing it home. I purchased a wet tumbler, stole my wife's dehydrator, purchased a media separator. I then found a Lee universal depriming die, a Glock bulge buster die and I've been cleaning and prepping cartridges. I've picked up a 500 rounds of .40 bullet components, 2 pounds of gun powder and a few hundred bullet components...all at decent prices when I can find a good deal.

My thought process is while the press I want remains on back order and locating small pistol primers is impossible, I will collect as many components as I can so when I do pull the trigger on the press next year and find plenty of primers, I will be ready to rock on roll and pump out some reloaded ammo.

Just my approach...wish I could do it all now, but not financially the smart play at the moment.
